The Pure IT story

We started Pure IT Refurbished in 2007 with the aim of sourcing and supplying refurbished IT equipment of the very highest quality to schools, businesses, charities and the occasional home users.

All of the equipment we supply is as good as, if not better than new and comes at half the price.

Much like other, successful companies, our greatest asset is truly our team of experts: enthusiastic and striving to provide the best service possible to our clients. OUR TEAM:

Bobby Mitchell

Role name: Founder and Managing Director

What they do: Bobby’s main roles outwith his MD capacity are overseeing sales and account management. Ensuring our customers get the right products for their requirements and are properly looked after.

Experience: Bobby’s background is very much technical, coming from motorsport and farming. He was both driving and involved in the technical setup of his rally cars which resulted in wins in Scottish, British and European rallies and coming second in the European Skoda Fabia Cup. Utilising his technical affinity, Bobby then turned his focus to business and started Pure IT in 2007 with the sole aim of offering a secure and environmental recycling service for businesses.

Spotting a gap in the market, the recycling quickly moved into the refurbishment and resale of the IT collected from business customers. Further strengthening the IT aspect, Pure IT now solely focuses to sourcing and refurbishing high end IT equipment.

Anthony Hillis

Role name: Business Development Manager

What they do: Adding value by giving the best possible customer experience to New and Existing Education Customers, our Reseller Partners and building our partnerships with strategic IT companies that can benefit from our services.

Experience: With over 3 years of experience in IT, started working at Pure IT in 2021.

About me: Dad to two great kids. In my spare time, I enjoy watching rugby and football, a very keen Scotland rugby fan and have has a Scotland season pass for 8 years now and really miss being at Murrayfield watching them play. We also have memberships for Edinburgh Zoo, Historic Scotland and National Trust Scotland which allow us to go explore some incredible places at the weekend with my kids, only when the rugby isn’t on of course!

Random fact – I used to coach primary/high school rugby at my local team, Lasswade RFC, for about 6 years and was nominated for coach of the year for Midlothian on my first year.

Lindsay Bell

Role name: Warehouse Manager

What they do: Lindsay is responsible for the day to day running of the warehouse, managing stock levels, scheduling orders and managing our team of technicians. The role is very varied but according to Lyndsay very enjoyable as she does like a challenge!

Experience: Lindsay started working for Pure IT in 2018 as Book Keeper & Administrator. Showing great organisation skills and gaining the team’s trust, in early 2020 Lindsay also took on the role of Warehouse Manager.

About me: I also recently got a Cocker Spaniel puppy who certainly keeps me busy at home too!

We’re sure you will love our products, but should there be any concerns, you can return all to us within 30 days of delivery for an exchange or refund. Simply contact us with a brief explanation, and we’ll arrange for it to be collected by our delivery partners.

We make returning equipment as simple and hassle free as possible.
There are no forms for you to fill in, we take care of the paperwork.
You won’t even have to pay the costs of returning the equipment.
We will also organise the pick-up of the equipment by courier.
